Music Fest by Boat?

Anybody know of music festivals that one could attend by boat?

I.e. you could stay on your boat (with Jabsco) rather than a tent with stinky portabotty.

Want to come to the PNW?

As for what you were really suggesting, not a bad idea. Although I have to admit that if all the tender operators were as drunk or high as your typical music-fest goer I might be tempted to anchor far, far away.

I'll add the Cygnet Folk Festival in the town of Cygnet, Tasmania. We've attended many times, anchoring in Port Cygnet and walking the ~1 km into town. Happens every January... and besides being good fun, it's a time warp, propelling us back to Berkeley in the Sixties!

After doing the Cygnet festival you’ve got plenty of time to get up to Port Fairy and claim a spot before the crowds arrive.

Excellent. Cygnet is just about as far away for us on the planet as it's possible to be. A great reason to sail. ... then up to Vic.

Attend a festival by boat? Why not have most of the festival BE the boats?

I went to this last year:

Costa del folk, albufeira, Portugal! October 2020. Not sure how close to the coast though - but we ‘re stopping in the hotel!

Sorry for the non-answer/nostalgia: Miami Marine stadium early ‘70’s Loggins and Messina! Memory is a bit dim but I know that I were there. That venue was closed (and demolished?) at some point after that. The different perspective on security might make such a thing impossible today. The small go fast boats could get within a few feet of the stage and there was no way security could control alchohol/drug use amongst the boat people. That band was real tight: what a show!

Red Rock Folk Festival: Live from the Rock. Just a few days sail from Thunder Bay on Lake Superior. Lots of fun. Bring your voice and your instruments for the general jam sessions.

The Marina is across the harbour and you can take your dinghy up to the shore straight to the festival
