Looks interesting, but where would one anchor? That looks pretty open roadstead-ish.

Just across Lake Superior from the Red Rock Festival is the Hiawatha traditional Music Festival held in late July in the Marquette, Tourist Park, the park isn't is probably farther than walking distance, but easy on a bicycle. Still, staying in the park is much more fun with the late jam sessions and they keep their porta potties very clean.

I looks like it's in a beach resort hotel with anchorage just off. ....like you might not have to get off the boat to hear the chops... if the amps are big enough.

Have anchored off Ft. Adams to listen. Good holding, great sound, not too crowded and not too loud.

Re: Music Fest by Boat?

You need to have a slip at the Marina for this on but there's also Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego. There's a large Marina right there. My friend purchased a Catalina 25 because it was already at the slip closest to the stage and if you bought the boat then you could have the slip too. I saw a few shows there but the most memorable one was Jimmy Buffet. The concert and the marina were both packed. He did the typical "How yall doin to the concertgoers" and then said "and how are all you cheap f**kers that didn't pay" to all us boat people. The marina just erupted in cheers. Great show.
On a side note my friend could sail that boat all the way into the marina and into his slip without using the motor.

The small go fast boats could get within a few feet of the stage and there was no way security could control alchohol/drug use amongst the boat people. That band was real tight: what a show!
Stadium still stands!

Re: Music Fest by Boat?

You're in Spain and you're asking us about what music festival to go to by boat??

You don't need to go to an organized festival, just go to Ibiza for a week!! Lol
