Great work and thanks as I am illiterate with computers so the easier the better.... 
We litterally are preparing our trip using the info on your site and have learned a lot and 'met' some nice people in the mean time which we hope to have a beer with in reality in the Carib one day.

Some of those are nice. It's good that the mods are trying to improve the experience on the site. However, there is one new feature I don't like. Why do we need a nag screen when you click on somebody's external link. We are all grown-ups here and don't need to be advised that --Cruisers forum is not responsible for external links, yada yada. Sounds like too much lawyer talk, serves no useful purpose, and slows things even more on my pitiful free wifi at my local marina.

Hi,
I've recently joined and love the forums. Incredibly helpful and generous group of like thinkers!
Say, I notice I "earned" a star. You have 5 stars. I have one. What constitutes the number? Activity, replies to posts, posts? Not trying to be a teachers pet but would like to know why I'm a single star.
