New features are great - especially the one with the beer, but there seems to be another new "feature" - whenever you go to a new forum page or thread the content bounces right and left a few times if the browser window is less than a certain width. Makes me seasick a I lose that beer
IE6, seems to be OK in firefox

Yes. You can turn off the visitor messaging option in your user cp.
>user cp
>edit options
scroll down and find the visitor messaging section and unselect this option.
scroll all the way to the bottom of page and select save changes.
If you receive spam via message, please report it to the site staff by clicking on the report post icon in the offending post (triangular red and white sign).

The points are just part of our software - you get one point for each instance you were thanked.
