Name this Stove.

Hi all, I'm hoping someone out there will recognize my stove as I'm trying to replace some broken parts. I have the stove in pieces so have attached photos of anything that looks somewhat distinctive. The main oven box is steel with stainless panels on all sides.
The boat is from Southern California and was built around 1990 so I'm assuming the stove is similar vintage but don't know for sure. The burners seem to have a logo that looks like an S in an oval.
I broke one of the thermocouples and can't seem to work out how it is removed.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Colin.

Re: Name this Stove.

I doubt the stove is sold as a marine stove since there are no pot holders. Does it have gimbals?

Looks like "SSD" on one of the fittings? Are there any serial Numbers?

Is it a SS top? Is the last shot the bottom side of the gas top? And the oven is gas too?

Re: Name this Stove.

It may not be a marine stove, I have no idea about its pedigree. It's on a trimaran and not gimbaled.

I saw the SSD but previously in different light was convinced it was 088 so not sure. I can't find any other distinguishing numbers. There is a paper on the back that is so faded I can't make anything out.

The top is stainless as are the side and back panels. The oven itself is steel that's been either painted or some other coating. The last shot is the bottom of the burners showing the thermocouples I need to remove and replace.

The oven is gas also.

Re: Name this Stove.

I used DuckDuckgo search for images (two burner gas stainless cook top) but I can't identify it.

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=two+burner...ages&ia=images

If the search was google I would get an Australianised version of the search but I don't think it matters with DuckDuckgo. Maybe you can do a search from where you are?

NOTE: Incredible! I now find with DuckDuckGo you can nominate the country version you require (Canada in your case)

Re: Name this Stove.

You say the oven is gas also: do you think the stove top and the oven are one unit?

I suppose the brown knob is for the oven?

Re: Name this Stove.

An older Origo 2-burner stove? No idea about oven.

Re: Name this Stove.

I don't know who made the stove, but the thermocouples appear to me to be a friction fit. I would try some use of excessive force.

You may have to drill and tap the opening in the burner or make some sort of clamp arrangement to get a new thermocouple to stay in place.

Might be time for a new stove.

Re: Name this Stove.

I believe it may be an old Broadwater stove, but I am not 100% sure. I found this image of a stove that is supposed to be a Broadwater in an ad from a 1956 Cocordia yawl; looks a little bit like yours:
https://www.yachtworld.com/boats/195...-yawl-3110331/
Look through images and see in specs it is claimed to be a Broadwater.

Re: Name this Stove.

Thanks for all your comments. I was hoping someone would say "Hey that's the same as my stove. it's a ....."

I think I'll try excessive force or drilling to remove the broken thermocouple and replace it with a generic one that fits.

I can't really afford a new stove and this one works OK except for the now broken thermocouple. This oven unit is quite small and I think I might have trouble finding a replacement that fits.

One piece of advice I can give is to remove the burners if you still can and use a high heat anti-seize on any threads as this was my downfall.

Re: Name this Stove.

Maybe you can find suitable parts on eBay?

https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_...LH_TitleDesc=0

Of course you will have to be very careful to ensure there are no leaks in any of the joints!! (Hope you have a gas detector alarm)
