Looking for source for bronze reducer 1" to 1/2"

A friend gave me a perko sea water strainer that I would like to install. It has 1" ports. My Yanmar 1GM10 takes a 1/2 hose. I've looked online for a reducer to step down from 1" to 1/2" but haven't found one. Does anyone know a good source? The previous owner of the strainer used a plastic fitting. It would be nice to find a bronze fitting.

Thanks

Summercamp,
Where are you located?
A local marine supply should have them, if you want bronze.

Hardwares usually carry brass fittings, which are easy to ID by the smooth finish and yellow color.

I’ve gotten lots of bronze at https://www.fisheriessupply.com
A quick look it appears you may need 2 bell reducers/reducer coupling and a hex or close nipple. (1”x3/4”) - close 3/4” nipple - (3/4”X1/2) - 1/2” pipe to pipe/hose. Unless you can find a 1”- 1/2” hose adapter but that might be hard. Possibly have a custom one made by a foundry but might be an option by the time you get all the fittings as they’ll be around $15-$20 a piece for bronze.

Any good marine store should have what you need. Here is a plug for my old company.

You should be able to find a reducer and barb. I have used the hardware stores version extensively with no detriment. Your strainer is isolated by the hoses, not grounded anyway.
