When you paint, (or varnish) remember that 90% of the work is in the prep. 10% is in the final coat.

A good looking paint job is all about the prep. Sanding. Filler if any. Primer. Choice of materials for the substrate, filler, and primer.

Only at the last stage, the choice of material and technique for the top coat comes into play.

Orange peel and marks can be a consequence of either prep or top coat.

Patience for the win. Slow down to go fast.
