Cruisair reverse cycle stopped heating
My 2014 Cruisair reverse cycle air conditioning unit has stopped delivering heat. Fan, water pump and filter are ok - and the water temperature has not dropped below 50.
Suggestions for layman troubleshooting will be appreciated – in the hope that it can be fixed without hiring a professional.

Re: Cruisair reverse cycle stopped heating
Locate the ambient temp sensor and make sure its not being effected by the temp of the coil.
I had to relocate mine to make it work correctly.

Will it run in AC mode?
What does the control panel look like?

I thought of that too, but don't do that unless its stuck in cooling mode, if the compressor just isn't running then its not the reversing valve.
With the models that have the three knobs on the panel fan speed, thermostat and something, maybe on off I don't remember, on the backside of the thermostat is an adjustment screw, on mine I would have to adjust that to get it to go into heat mode, and in Summer I'd have to adjust it to keep it in cooling mode.

If the reverse-cycle valve sticks (usually from lack of use), tapping it lightly may free it; listen for a hissing sound as it activates.

Re: Cruisair reverse cycle stopped heating
The issue here is that the heating has been working fine until now – and without any changes having been made. It appears as if the heating still starts up, but it shuts down again by itself after just a few seconds and before producing any heat.
I have done the factory reset on the control panel, but to no avail.
I doubt that the reversing valve has anything to do with it, since the cooling has not been used since last summer, but don't mind trying it if someone could tell me where to tap...
