Cork flooring, inside and out?

My better half and I are redoing the floor in our boat, we have removed the nasty carpet and it is bare wood currently. We just bought it and now want to make it ours. My wife showed me this site with cork flooring, has anyone used cork flooring? Any thoughts, concerns, or experiences with cork flooring?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Cork flooring, inside and out?

used to be very common in Aus back in the '80's and makes a fine floor; cool in summer warm in winter, softer than wood, can drop plates and cups on it without breaking them. Usually it came in the form of 1 foot sq tiles and polyurethaned so after 10 or 20 yrs could show damage where they butt or if the edges are raw to lift bilge floorboards etc.
That site uses it externally and maybe they are in sheets which might be more like laying a vinyl floor but might last even better.

Cork sheet was used by some Tartan models in the US during the 70s and maybe 80s. My experience with it was as stated by NevilleCat. No Problems.

Don’t know how it would hold up outside......

I used it on my Spencer 1330 for the interior only in Vancouver, BC. It worked well. The only was the odd tile lifting when the glue dried out. I think I should have used more glue. Just reapplied it. The beauty of laying tiled cork is it bends on those compound curves around the hull. Not sure about the new cork products for exterior use. Good luck.
