No, I mean that for underwater metals nothing can touch Propspeed

Re: Canadian Bottom Paint Problem

Thanks to everyone for suggestions. I decided to take the "easy" way out [and cheapest] when I discovered that my daughter was headed to the USA for a day of shopping. She's picking up some Trilux 33 for me so that I can keep the status quo.

Re: Canadian Bottom Paint Problem

Down here in NZ, we used Interlux but the yard changed to using to Altex Vivid, along with Propspeed on the prop....

I will second Propspeed.

I'm never real close to where my boat is hauled, so the many steps involved with Trilux...cleaning, coats of primer and paint... mean separate and perhaps timed trips to the boat.

Propspeed has steps to take as well, but other than the big day of application, can be more easily managed. I'll already be applying Propspeed to the folding props (stripped and prepared at home), so applying to the saildrives is not that much more work.

I was worried that not spinning as the prop does, barnacles wouldn't be enticed to leave, but my experience has been that the saildrives fair better than the props.
