12 volt motor Jabsco Electric pump conversion unit rust

Hi-
Jabsco toilet unit 12 volt motor Electric pump conversion unit rusted with out showing any sign of rust outside the unit. I have contacted Jabsco they do not seem to know why.
Any one have same problem? I have attached a picture.

Looks like the shaft seal failed just enough to let a tiny little bit of salty urine poo water into the motor where it got spun around with all of the uncoated metals and electricity.

I do not seem to understand how come this item were it is completely the whole unit rusted with out showing any sign of rust.

This is the unit I am talking about.

I don't follow???? if it rusts from the inside......you won't see the rust on the outside.

and now, urinepoowater.....manbearpig.....puppymonkeybaby.. .....all three of these need to featured on the next south park.

The bottom line is that "marine" items are seldom made of appropriate marine materials. They really don't care.

Yep ! Bought a freshwater pump from Jabsco . It lasted a month before the electrical terminals rotted.
Jabsco said I shouldn't be using it where there is a chance of condensation and that it's only for use in dry conditions .
