Oil drain cap on Volvo Penta md2030/Perkins M30?

The manual says to suck from the drain pipe . But how do I take off the black rubber cap on the drain pipe? (See pictures). It feels pretty tight

While it is possible there are threads under there, I very much doubt it. Grab it with a pair of pliers, twist, and pull.

No threads, just a bead to keep the cap in place. You need to grunt louder!
