    Hello,
I need some help replacing the tiller and tiller bracket assembly for my 1969 Cal 34. I think the existing bracket, which has broken, and 2 tillers have broken, may not have been the original intended bracket. I don't know where to start.

Thank you for the welcome. We are new to the cruising world having bought our sailboat in spring of 2024. We are getting ready to sail from Brunswick Ga as soon as the new engine and marine gear is installed in our boat. Our goals/reasons for joining the forum are to engage with like-minded souls, learn from the members, and hopefully find someone who would like to make the journey to Panama with us (we have learned the hard way that just 2 of us on offshore passages is more tiring and stressful than we like!)
We also recognize that we have a lot to learn and the best lessons in life come from those more experienced and knowledgeable. We hope to make many friends in this community.
