Hey there! I'm Chris. Just saw a really old post of yours about having a "live" ground on your alternator's case. Would love to know how that story ended as I noticed the same problem.

my attention went to " I am old",
been a geriatric sailor (79) on the verge of moving from my sailboat to a motorboat I am very interested on the use of a motorboat.
Do you cruise your local waters, do you extend the range, do you move the boat with the seasons?
    Thank you for any insight

Hi there, you still in Carrabelle at this time? My boat is at C-Quarters and like today's poster about solar aspirations, I keep dreaming it would be great to have an electric engine for my little sailboat but just haven't quite figured out where I could put enough solar panels to keep batteries charged on my 28 foot Morgan Out Island.

Yanked from a happy life of sailing by a job on the top of a mountain, and dissatisfied by the seaworthiness of retirement boats I could afford, I made the worst and most painful decision of my life by building my own.
