Yes, definitely missing the Cheeky Monkey fix. Saw that Tasha is in Annapolis for the boat show. Also checked the Chase The Story and Cheeky Monkey sites (FB, web, Insta etc) but found no news of the boat being for sale etc. An update would be great.

Re: What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

Saw Tasha at the Annapolis show. She was on the Helia 44 at the FP tent and talked to her for a bit. She and Ryan have split, he is selling the boat and she is off to find another (boat) to single hand. She said a monohull.

The for sale post is on Ryan's personal FB page. This sucks. They were hands down my favorite sailing vlog. (And I know Brady Trautman personally!)

Do you have link to Ryan's FB page?

Re: What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

It’s pretty clear that whatever has changed, they want to keep it to themselves. All that is posted is that the boat is for sale and Ryan looks to be headed to Australia. By the postings, it appears they are both happy doing what they are doing. To each his (her) own. I wish them both nothing but the best.

Do they have the boat listed somewhere?

There are those who live to be on the water. There are also those who love to take on a challenge, but quickly develop a "been there, done that" attitude and move on to something else.

Nothing wrong with either philosophy. I wish them well!

Boat listed today on yachthub. At the asking price it will take some time to sell I would expect.

Re: What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

Normally, I'd agree with you, but after the Caribbean storm damage, it's a seller's market. In that price range, certain buyers who "want it now" will pay more than market price. They also have the advantage that a lot of the boat's history is documented via the video blog. Guess we'll see.

Awww... that's too bad. Their videos were really good. If Tasha is still sailing, I doubt that's the last we will hear from her publicly. She gots the spunk that one does, and I think she will continue making vids once she gets on another boat. My thoughts...

Met her in Annapolis. Sorry to hear of the split and resulting sale of Cheeky Monkey, but she seemed happy. Hope Ryan is also doing well.
