What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

Does someone know what happened with these couple sailing a FP around the world? I´ve been following them on Youtube, "Chase the Story Sailing" since they started their journey back in Sept. 2015, but their last video was uploaded on Dic. 26 from French Polynesia and they didn´t even updated their blog.

I think they're touring the U.S on land for a while. They mentioned it on one of their video's. What a great story to watch, well edited too.

They're in Utah (I believe) skiing right now. They post on Facebook under Chase the Story and Turf to Surf. They drove across the US doing meet and greets.

Probably capsized, broke up, burst into flames, wore his engines out from motoring 700% of the time.... all the usual stuff.

Re: What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

Bit like a couple of yachts I have been following for ages, arrived in Australia and their posts either stopped completely (for one) or have not progressed past the end of December. Both are still in Australia. The one in Sydney I can see from their AIS is at the same place it has been for most of the past month and a half. Seems like they must be too busy enjoying Australia to update their web site, a pity, as they have previously updated with land-based journeys fairly soon after doing them.

Re: What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

I watched a bunch of the series, and found it annoying. Nothing fun to watch about extremely rich people sailing. Where is the sense of peril? "oh no, our main mast came down, both engines blew up and the hull fell apart. Oh well, just grab a few 100k out of the huge bank account and roll on." Would rather watch people barely scrape by, where a de-masting would be a devastation. Something about people on the edge of a precipice. IMHO

Re: What happened to "Cheeky Monkey"

Having no frame of reference, I briefly looked at their blog. Meaning, I read the latest post.
So, do people really motor up to their boat and start climbing aboard without being properly invited? Because that's never happened to me. And if it doesn't happen, then it appears that the cheeky monkey folks might just be a little douchey.
The last post was mostly about how annoyed Tasha is when people come up uninvited and climb aboard their boat for a tour.
And, again, I have no frame of reference, but if I had to guess, I would say that doesn't happen much. And maybe Tasha is a bit of a b***h.

After many years of cruising, I have never heard of that happening, never Unless your being boarded by the coastguard or robbers. Seems a bit far fetched to me unless the people were very good friends and even then it's rare.
