Our family has a 1973 van de stadt pioneer 10. My father bought her back in the the eighty four in the UK and brought her on her own bottom. Four generations have continue to sail the Salish sea and Vancouver island since.

Hope to head back to the broughtons this year.

I’d have to agree wouldn’t I…Owning a Van De Stadt designed Trintella 44a aluminum mast head cutter.
Never felt threatened yet what with the center cockpit doghouse and lifting keel.

After about thirty years of maintaining a Roberts steel boat I wish I had persisted with my original plan to build a VDS Caribean.

Bruce Wilson built Mistress, and it's a nice boat.
