North West Passage

Hey All!
Love this forum and thanks again to everyone who is helping and sharing there wisdom.
My crew and I are making early plans to tackle the northwest passage once the ice breaks up here in Canada. I'm wondering if there are any Arctic veterans who can shed some wisdom on the subject that will keep us from making some wrong moves in a land where wrong moves could be fatal.

Right now the NW Passage is closed to recreational traffic. I don't know if there is a planned opening date, but I wouldn't count on 2021 yet.
