If you are looking for a heavy displacement, full keel, and well built boat, then look at the Kaiser Gale Force 34. Not many out there, with most located on the East Coast.

Dreadnought 32. I prefer the ketch, but also may be cutter rigged. Becoming difficult to find in decent condition.

The OP said "lusting" - rarely a good way to buy a sailboat. But if it is to be "lust", I'd go with the Hinckley Pilot (35' LOA but only 25' LWL so I think it meets his criteria)

If you look at the "Golden Globe Race" coming up on the 16th June 2018 round the world race a lot of the solo sailors have picked the old traditional style boats....like's of the Endurance 35 heavy displacement full keel boat obviously this shows how well know this boat is for its safe passage making and build.

The rules of the race limit boats to heavy, displacement, full keel hulls. Any modern fin keel boat will easily win over any of the listed boats.

Re: Favorite 30'-34' Foot sailboat

I should start off by saying I drive a Bristol 45.5 so am quite familiar with big, heavy boats. Having said that I would suggest a Pogo 30. If we are into lust, we might as well get with the 21st century - and yes they are Water boats">blue water boats.

My bias is Ontario32, well built proven ocean pocket passage maker. Veleda IV has a great blog on their boat.
