Danny green chameleon nesting dinghy

I have been building one of these over the last month or so. Lots of fun and a great learning experience for a novice woodworker & fibreglasser. I am making the sailing version.

I have a 28ft trailer sailer and really want to own a bigger boat one day. In order to learn skills that would be handy for modifications or repairs etc I decided to build the stitch and glue dinghy. It's like an intensive course in the skills I lack.

Here are some pics from the raw plywood until today. Still more to do but I can almost see the end.

One thing I decided to do different to the plans is make the mast using the birds mouth process. Lighter and stronger
