Mako and Thresher are fantastic!

They do have a unique telltale flavor, but not one that's offensive in the slightest... No special goofy bleach/brine/milk stuff... Never heard of it...

I've probably eaten or prepped at least 1,000 lbs...

Dangerous idea. My wife would probably find it and start getting ideas.

Selective editing!
And in a later post I say: "How would I know? How does anyone know? All I have done is read some news reports. All of a sudden do we believe everything in the papers?"

(Wow i hate folks quoting themselves and now i am doing it! )

One of the interesting things steve Callahan showed in Adrift was that in those 76 days he used everything on that liferaft to make tools to help himself out of the situation. When he was finally rescued he had dried fish hanging everywhere

In this current one, without more than crappy media reports, it seems he only came ashore with one turtle on board. But if it was Steve Callahan, or you, or me, wouldnt we have saved every turtle shell for water catches? Saved the bones to make scrapers, harpoons, knives, spoons, blood holders and saved the sinus to make lines for fishing. The propless engines pulled down for more devices, using the tool kit every carries.

It wouldnt take a huge amount of smarts to be able to verify this journey.

But to slag me off because theres nothing told in this story just because some people are accepting it instantaneously.
You might call me skeptical as in deed I might call some gullible just to accept without thought.

But wait, theres more!
skep·ti·cal
ˈskeptikəl/
adjective
1.
not easily convinced; having doubts or reservations.

It doesnt mean I don't think this guy has done it, or it cant be done. It just means I am not easily convinced he has done it, I have doubts and reservations.

without skepticism there can be no truth, only lies.

You nay sayers are just a hoot.

Jose Salvador Alvarenga is a poor fisherman that could not even rub two nickels together to make a dime.

Do you really think that Alvarenga did not float from Mexico 6000 miles to Ebon Atoll in the Marshall Islands? A 24 foot boat with a 75 hp Yamaha engine with a 5 gallon fuel tank is just not going to do that in your dreams.

There is just no doubt that he drifted there at this point with all the evidence.

If he ate his crew may take a little more time to come to the surface.
