Have no idea, Don. I was searching Florida craigslists for teak for Chotu and that boat popped up.
Note there are no interior photos to speak of. Owner also does say "needs tlc", so it may be mouldy inside or some such.
As you say, though, a solid cruiser with a yanmar and "bikini" - well, I'd take on that cleaning!
Happy New Year to you,

Pearson 30 $3000

Atomic engine. Don't know if he was halfway through painting the decks and what is shown in the pictures is decks covered with primer - but it is an 'as is' sale. Interior needs a good cleaning!

Re: Free Hardin 45 (Port Townsend WA)
Wow, just WOW! Free . . . but not really free, minimum of $3,000 in back storage fees, "Seller" wants you to pay him, then he'll pay the yard . . . then states it is titled in his name, but he doesn't have the title . . . need new mast which he estimates at $15k . . . and standing rigging which he estimates at $2,5k . . . engine rebuild or new engine, perkins which he estimates at $6k . . . he's leaving the country in less than a month . . . .wants you go go look at it in Port Townsend, WA, then drive to Portland OR to give him money, which he will then pay to yard?!? before he signs it over . . . but he said he doesn't have the title . . . . Just WOW! PT Barnum would be proud of him!

This could or could not be a good project boat if you are in the market for such a deal. Yes, there are issues to overcome, some of which can be overcome by a neutral third party such as a broker. I would want to know from him what is going to be done about a title, there must be a hull number, can you start over in the title process with a bill of sale ? Maybe a talk with the state title office. Lost titles can be replaced in some states.
