Despite an email within 5 hours of it being listed it appears someone grabbed it first. This compact 19 would have been fun to enjoy or pass along to a friend looking.

It's too bad that you weren't able to get there in time. It is amazing how many small sailboats are available for free. I see one at least every other week.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Happily I have a holder 12 for the local pond. I see a lot of inexpensive boats that don't make much sense to pursue due to repairs, parts, sails, etc needed. Sad but understandable that many fall into disrepair... We need a national adopt a boat program to find them good homes before so many decay so badly before owners decide to give them up.

Owners won't let go as long as they believe that "one day" they'll get the boat fixed and back on the water.

It's only when it's too late that they realize it'll never happen. At that point most of the boats aren't worth adopting.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Wish I had the skills / experience for this one... perhaps cheap if you decide to sail without an engine!

Bare hull ... engine and a few bulkheads removed. Hull and decks are in great condition. Great base line for building your dream boat from scratch.
Included: mast, boom, new and old standing rigging, steering stand, anchor, cushions

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Sounds like it may need repairs to *everything*, but owner could probably be persuaded to give it away - if you will take it away...

Hi, R Auger,
Your best bet is to follow the provided link to whichever boat interests you.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Sorry, I don't understand. I'm not at ease with this type of communication. All I want is the name of the person who owns the red Bluejacket 23 MS that is saw on this forum so I can communicate with him or her.

Thanks

I searched the forum for a Bluejacket 23 and found the following post in this thread from liquidice
https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post2937074

I don't see a link to the boat itself. Perhaps you could try sending a personal message to liquidice:
