Foreigners who are not habitually resident in or do not hold a valid residence permit for Denmark must have a worthy purpose to enter Denmark and must present a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before entry.
So, again, at the moment it seems impossible to sail directly from Finland to Denmark, or am I reading this wrong?

Reading wrong. https://en.coronasmitte.dk/rules-and...n-of-countries
From yellow countries no pretest but on arrival..

ps. or not quite sure. It says test needed upon arrival but not where..
Maybe there're entry harbours with test facilites?

I think they say pretest needed on your page as well!

And here's the more detailed page: https://en.coronasmitte.dk/rules-and...esident-abroad

Just a couple of weeks ago I was under the impression that, indeed, no pretest was needed, but maybe it changed?

There's contradicting information on various pages, most contain this frase in one form or another "As a general rule, all entrants must also obtain a COVID-19 test upon arrival or after entry into Denmark. There are some exemptions from this requirement.". So it indicates the test can be taken on arrival but the question is where this is possible?

I flew Helsinki-CPH last week and there was no control whatsoever - completely open.

The authoritative sites are coronosmitte.dk and the Danish border guards. I believe Finland is a yellow country so no test and no vax required, but check for yourself.

They have moved the free testing center out of the airport and into a tent nearby, but I don't believe it's required any more.

Re: Northern Europe during Pandemic -- Summers 2020 & 2021

Boris Johnson has warned UK holidaymakers and businesspeople that going overseas will not return to normal until next year at the earliest, in a fresh blow to the travel sector. Johnson’s comments come days after two of his cabinet ministers advised people to book summer holidays in the UK rather than abroad. The government has introduced a traffic-light system for international travel with only people coming from “green list” countries allowed to skip a 10-day quarantine on arrival.

I just mean that there are so few people in Finland sick with COVID, that the sample size probably excludes drawing any conclusions. Things are great in Finland these days.

Actually great all over our region. Only Latvia has over even 50 daily infections per million. Finland the lowest with 14 and Sweden second lowest with 17. Denmark continues to have the highest infection rate in the Nordic countries but it's still less than 50, so no big deal.

As to death rates:

It's basically over with the dying in Europe altogether, where the total death rate is under one per million. In our region, only Latvia and Lithuania are over 1. Sweden has the lowest death rate in Northern Europe, with 7 day rolling average of 0 -- ZERO -- deaths for almost a week by now. The rest of the Nordics are not far behind.

Meanwhile vaccination proceeds at a huge pace, with Europe almost catching up with the U.S. for total people with at least one dose in them (U.S. has run into a vaccination hesitancy wall).

Life is good, at last.

Re: Northern Europe during Pandemic -- Summers 2020 & 2021

Finally returning to denmark after 20 months.
Plan to have a light season- denmark, germany and sweden. With a little luck norway end of august.
We're flying an american flag and are vaccinated.
Anybody sailed from denmark to germany and back this season with non-eu flag? How about denmark to sweden and back?
Thanks...

Sailed Denmark-Germany-Sweden already this week with a non-EU (in my case, UK) flag.

Control, in those countries which have it, seems to have been delegated to harbourmasters. In Germany it consisted of: "Are you tested?" "No, we're all vaccinated." "Vaccinated? [geimpft}", "Ja geimpt". "Super". And that was the end of it, not docs shown, no further questions. In Sweden no questions at all. YMMV.

Sweden, same experience.

Denmark: Finland is now a green country, but I still think travel into Denmark requires a negative test (or having been fully vaccinated, or having had the disease) taken _before_ arriving.

It was a few weeks ago, but another Finnish boat was denied entry to Bornholm because they didn't have said test with them.

Thanks for the info.
Just flew in with super quick trip through passport control, but we were checked by politi on train into central station. They were checking paperwork on all foreigners. Also saw the customs boat at the gross belt bridge-first time we've ever seen it there.
Nice to be back, hope to sail soon!

Since saturday no tests taken in Kastrup. Boats seemed to come and go in Copenhagen harbour without any control..
