February in
Bahia de
la Paz region (in 7 days, you cannot get much further):
Frequent Northers, at least 20 kn, often 25-30 kn. There are many
anchorages in "the islands" that are fully sheltered to seas from Northers, but only partially to the
wind. It can be a pain, but workable (as long as you get out of La Paz before a big one hits). Northers are well forecasted.
Occasionally and not well-forcasted, the
wind switches and comes from the West/SW. These are Corumels, which are much more common in the Spring/Summer, BUT they DO occur also in the
Winter. They're the true pain as there are few
anchorages in
Bahia de la Paz that are protected from these (wind or seas). (Corumels do not occur north of approx Isla
San Francisco.)
Daytime air temperatures are generally very comfortable (22-26°C). Often sunny.
Water temps are 21-24°C. We swam all
winter and thought it was wonderful, but others felt sea
water too cold.

PS La Paz is lovely.
