- Owned and totally re-built a 26 ft wood sloop in the 1970's and 80's. During that time I also worked all around the world in the offshore oil industry - spent months at sea. Sailed a 16 ft Hobie Cat and windsurfers in the interim. Recent purchase of my dream boat - Hans is a friend of mine. I recently retired from running a little engineering company.
