Wow Dale's boat up for sale. The correct description of this boat is not cheap, but instead good value.

Not only world cruising capable, but world cruising proven.

And one can only imagine all of the spares, tools, and little extras that are on the boat, that otherwise normally cost tens of thousands to buy and add to make a normal boat into a proper full time live aboard cruising boat.

The situation is changing rapidly in the Pacific. I'm around alot of Puddle jumpers and no one really knows what to do. FP is basically saying you can stop to restock, refuel and repair etc then have to head to Tahiti where your boat will be given a mooring and you must fly home. Borders to the west aren't open. As Australian I could keep going to oz.

Interesting times.

I considered buying more jerry cans enabling me to motor to Chiapas but of course the risk is Mexico closes its borders while we are underway. Getting to shore in Panama is getting hard now.

With other boats re are relaxing at Kas Perlas waiting to see what happens for now.

Many dont realize the value in a thoroughly set up world cruiser, as you mentioned theres approx 2k just in tools.

It's the money you spend just to be sure things are right, money you probably wouldnt spend if you were just coastal, 18k usd on maintaince last year eg new toggles(oversize) and turnbuckles, new rudder, new clears etc.

Whether she sells or not dosen't really matter, just exploring options.

Ps, on another note had a beautiful sail out to these islands yesterday, fully loaded we were the fastest boat out of 8 boats which included two cats , the new vertical batterned main was awesome.

I would really consider Mexico. We're in Chiapas right now and I don't see them closing the border to cruisers. It's really not that far. Just stay about 15 - 20nm out to avoid the long line fishermen. Fingers crossed for you!

Hi Steve, thanks for the input.

Its approx 900nm, it depends how much we can sail ,900 nm is a little further than my fuel capacity allows.

We just got permission to enter Vista Mar marina tommorow, I'll attempt to get some more jerry cans increasing my range.

We are currently at Las perlas. Just had authorities come out and tell us we cant come a shore, they have a virus case here.

They were very good, they gave us a contact number and assured us they will be able to bring out food ,fuel etc to our boats, this now gives us another option.

Sukha is stocked up more than most, my concern was if we stayed here and exhausted our supplies we also exhaust our options. It looks like they solved that problem for us.

Interesting times.

Ahh, yes, these are crazy times for sure! It's difficult to know just what to do. We really didn't want to be stuck in El Salvador. It seems like many governments are unsure of what policies to implement. Are you guys going stur crazy on the boat without the option of getting off?

Not yet, ask me again in 4 mths time..lol.

The authorities coming out today was the first positive act we've seen towards us. Very reassuring I must admit.

Dale, if not extra jerry cans, then maybe a fuel bladder(s) instead?

The bonus is that this can be more easily packed away and stowed when not required.

Why not go far offshore and get a sail north. Then come in to the Sea of Cortez, where you can head north to hide from the up coming hurricane season.

Hi there

Looks like a really nice boat and an awesome deal for someone.
If you head north in Panama stop by at Marina Chumicos (Boca Brava divers) about 20 nm south of David. Carlos the owner is a very nice guy and goes out of his way to help cruisers as long as you treat him with respect (unfortunately there have been a couple of youtube sailors who did a lot of damage to our reputation). He got his own fuel station and I am sure he has also a couple jerry cans lying around or can organize some.
