I'm renovating my 1983 Olson 40 and the prop really needs help! Your two-blade Verifold would be great!

I would love to have the increased range and performance. Reverse prop walk is an issue getting into and out of my slip.

Have an Autoprop H5 now, which is 20 years old. Would love to replace with a new H5.

The Varifold prop has received great reviews and performed very well in comparison tests. I'd love to put one on my Cal33.

I am a "shoestring" sailor of mature years, My boat is nearly as old as me but she is in much better shape apart from her propeller. I would like to surprise her when the pandemic is over with a new Brunton autoprop instead of yet another cast off from somebody else upgrading to a Brunton autoprop.

I think the autoprop would be our choice of prop.
We are new to sailing and would appreciate anything that improves our yachts performance.

Have been looking to replace the fixed blade on our Volvo sail drive, and the Autoprop was at the top of the option list!
Would be a great addition, as there is plenty of motoring in our summers in the Pacific North West

Would love to sail away with new Varifolds! Planning a circumnavigation starting April 2021 and need to be 100% ready to go and have no worries. Would love to promote Brunton in one of our videos and blog posts as well.

I could use the new auto prop on my classic plastic cruiser. Just a sweet upgrade.

We would Love an Autoprop!
https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/autoprop
I think either an H20 or H5.
We have a 35' Tristar trimaran with a tiny folding prop with hardly any pitch. Doesn't give much drive at all, so we really need to get a better prop, and a Brunton's Autoprop looks like it would be just the ticket.

Thanks for putting on the competition and giving everyone a chance at the prize.

Wow, what a mechanical masterpiece! The autoprop APS-H5 on my Sweden Yachts 34 would make a fundamental change of the sailing experience. The current 2-blade fixed Volvo propeller slows the boat down pretty much, I know it - and I can feel it. Putting on a new shiny autoprop would wake up the joy of sailing again! https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/varifold

Re: BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

I'm eagerly looking at 2 3-blade Varifold props for my Lagoon 440 with 2 Yanmar 4JH4CE engines with Saildrives.

https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/varifold

I am looking at Varifold folding props in particular due to their specific design for reverse gear. They actually do reverse, every time. This is a safety feature for me.

Re: BRUNTONS PROPELLERS GIVEAWAY - ends Feb 16th

Bruntons Autoprop !

https://www.bruntonspropellers.com/autoprop

How I would use it
Under normal conditions: I would use it to get more people introduced to being on the water and sailing. While pulling in and out of the slip, I would tell them about the magical propeller that knows which way the boat is moving and sets it's blades accordingly, making it exceptionally good at doing its job.

When stuck on an uninhabited island: well, why would i get stuck on sailboat with no need for fuel? But if I did - I would mount it on a bamboo stick with a pulley that would be engaged from a paddle wheel made of banana leaves and submerged into a local stream. The prop will be my fan under the canopy and would keep me cool on hot days.

I would also polish it to a mirror surface so I could signal passing airplanes or vessels and maybe look at myself and wonder - how did I end up here?!

In a school setting - i would use it to introduce children to physics and hydrodynamics or engineering to hopefully make their eyes sparkle with curiosity!

At home
And when I'm old and can't sail anymore - I will polish it and mount it on a wall, to remind me of all the places we've been to (and all the vibration free miles we got over the stock fixed prop currently on the boat)! And then, when I pass, will leave it to my son, to put on his boat and remember about the good times we've had together (hopefully he won't sell it on ebay).
