Easily overcome by wiring the plug properly.

Re: Honda 2000 built in.
Interestingly .....you'd think there were never gas engines and fuel tanks in boats.....

It seems that they have nothing better to do unfortunately.
So there were a couple of pages discussing various boxes, and 6 or more pages after that ranting about regulations.
The OP even stated clearly that he wasn't interested in that part of the discussion (there are plenty of other threads about this) - after which his wishes were just totally ignored.
I even requoted these wishes - totally ignored.
End result - thread totally derailed.
I must admit that it does all get a bit tiresome sometimes...

Re: Honda 2000 built in.
My dumb ass response would keep it on deck. The exhaust and intake are on the same side. One post said they piped the exhaust overboard. I would think it would have to be a short run with that small a displacement. Then there is the issue of disconnecting everything to remove it for an oil change. JMHO

Found this with a simple google search.
https://www.instructables.com/id/EF2...dening-Enclos/
Just vary the construction materials to fit the environment and general decor of the aft deck of the vessel

I’m sorry if you are annoyed by honest and valid answers to your questions.
I really think you need to take some ownership here.

they actually make exhaust kits for them using up to 5 feet of the correct size of exhaust flex pipe. Just like what I have on my furnace .
They even have mufflers for them

Re: Honda 2000 built in.
Guy’s calm down.
What you guys, many of you anyway fail to realize that as long as it’s not installed your most likely OK from a rules standpoint.
However when you install it, then it has to meet standards, and it doesn’t, start with the fuel system, even the hoses don’t, then go from there.

Link? Please?? Pretty please??
I've been looking for small flex exhaust hose to route my exhaust in a slightly better direction to avoid some station wagon effect I get. Seems the huge car stuff is all I can ever find.

Re: Honda 2000 built in.
So, a slew of complaints to the mods.
My advice? Stop posting instead of fighting.. All of you are "experts" in the field, and yet the consensus of opinion is not there. Casual readers are being left in the dark due to the conflicts.
DONT FIX A PORTABLE GENERATOR IN PLACE WITHOUT ADEQUATE VENTILATION OR AIR TO COOL THE UNIT.
That is not the purpose of the unit.
Mods will issue appropriate directives/sanctions as required. NO ONE IS EXEMPT from the CF rules........ no one on this thread has been classified as an expert by the mods........ take all information and validate yourself.
finally.. leave all the chiding to the mods. Seriously.
