I've recently been getting Error #7 alarms on my
Victron Quattro 12/3000/120 Inverter/Charger- the BMS then turns off the inventor and it lights up when turned back on. After an while (sometimes a few minutes - sometimes several hours) it resets itself and all is good. It happens when the
batteries are topped up or not.
Victron Online says:
"Error 7 - VE.Bus BMS detected, but not configured
A VE.Bus BMS device is connected but there is no Assistant loaded which handles the VE.Bus BMS.
Solution: configure the use of the VE.Bus BMS in one of the Assistants."
Connected up with VE.Configure3 and saw BMS Assistant was there. Upgraded it to latest level. Unfortunately this hasn't fixed the problem. It seems to occur about 5 minutes after the genset is turned off and a couple of minutes after I put a significant load on the system (eg. coffee maker).
I've had someone look at it in Charleston who has been talking to Victron but no joy as yet.
Has anyone seen a similar problem? And if so, what dod you do to correct it.
