Lagoon 440 with damage history

Hi,
Would you walk away from this one?
A "friend of a friend", is selling his L440, and I am interested. The price is normal market, no reduction due to the damage history.
The boat had very severe keel damage, due to a hard grounding a couple of years ago. The keel had to be completely rebuild, and also a number of the non structural bulkheads had separated due to the impact. Those are now fully laminated / tabbed to the hull.
Insurance covered the repairs, 35.000 EUR, repaired professionally at a scandinavian boatyard. No visual signs of the damage anymore, and recent survey does not show any signs of de-lamination or structural problems of the boat.
It is a fine boat, lots of upgrades.
What is your thoughts on this?
Buy it?
Walk away?
Ask for a reduction, and if accepted then buy it?
Keep my 380?
Thanks!
Salomon

If it passes a survey, not sure why you’d get a discount. Boat is probably better than when it left factory.

I would survey the boat and go from there. If I owed the boat I would pry tell anyone looking for a discount to bugger off.

Epoxy glassing non structural bulkheads and panels as opposed to re-gluing with plexus may create hard spots on the hull, which when it flexes may crack the outside gel coat instead. You won't know until it has been sailed hard.
