New Zealand to Caribbean

Moon Dancer, a well equipped Tayana 55, has in 2015 crossed the South Pacific without incident with the intermittent help of 4 crew.

In 2016-17 Moon Dancer will complete her circumnavigation by sailing from New Zealand to the Caribbean. The route will be via northern Australia, the islands of the Indian Ocean, South Africa and then across the South Atlantic to Trinidad.

We require 2-4 crew members for all or parts of the trip. Sailing experience and maturity are the most important qualifications.

Crew must be non-smokers, moderate drinkers and absolutely drug free.

We pay all food and boat expenses, crew pay their own travel and immigration expenses. The Skipper is professionally qualified and a very experienced sailor who enjoys teaching.

Please send resumes via PM's.

Re: New Zealand to Caribbean

We will leave New Zealand sailing to Australia in January/February 2016 and then after cyclone season, in April, we will sail the north coast of Australia. We will then sail towards South Africa as weather and cyclone seasons allow.

Sailing experience is essential...it is necessary that the crew be experienced enough to be able to stand a single man/woman watch in a gale.
