The Rain or Shine Group Sails to Canada up the Inside Passage!
S/V Aquila, a 40'
Hunter sailboat with a full
cockpit enclosure for
weather protection, will be sailing in July and August, 2015, from
Portland to Bella Bella,
British Columbia, and back.
The
route will be from Portland down the
Columbia River, up the
Washington Coast, east on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and then up the Inside
Passage route on the east side of
Vancouver Island, with the intention of continuing north of Port Hardy beyond
Vancouver Island, probably to Bella Bella,
British Columbia. Return will probably be by the same route.
There are opportunities for people to join the
boat as crew for whatever part of the trip that they desire. Possible arrangements are flexible. Length of the entire trip is about six weeks. A passport is required for the Canadian part of the trip.
