Just one out of Oregon

Wanted to get into sailing or boating a lot more, years of experience with boats 30 feet and under sailing and motorboats. Want to crew either sailing or motorboat for the summer of 2015. Let me know if you are going from west coast united states sometime in the summer.

If not does anyone know where I can find a ship/boat to crew?

Re: Just one out of Oregon

Hi,
I am going to be crew on a trip to canada in june and july leaving out of portland. This is the S/V Aquila. A 40, Hunter. If you are interested you should come out and do a couple of day sails with us on the columbia. the Aquila is part of the meetup.com sailing-in-portland group and sails almost every Saturday and many Wednesdays year round. Here is a link to the group if you want to come and do a daysail.
Sailing in Portland (Portland, OR) - Meetup
below is a copy of the post announcing the trip. Hope to see you soon.
cheers.

The Rain or Shine Group Sails to Canada up the Inside Passage!
S/V Aquila, a 40' Hunter sailboat with a full cockpit enclosure for weather protection, will be sailing in July and August, 2015, from Portland to Bella Bella, British Columbia, and back.
The route will be from Portland down the Columbia River, up the Washington Coast, east on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and then up the Inside Passage route on the east side of Vancouver Island, with the intention of continuing north of Port Hardy beyond Vancouver Island, probably to Bella Bella, British Columbia. Return will probably be by the same route.
There are opportunities for people to join the boat as crew for whatever part of the trip that they desire. Possible arrangements are flexible. Length of the entire trip is about six weeks. A passport is required for the Canadian part of the trip.
