Re: It never hurts to ask..

OP, yer should just take the thread bumps and be glad of it, even at the price of having to manage (put up with) a degree of tittle tattle (folks just trying to be freindly, CF a pretty tame and freindly part of the Internet).........whilst I can't see the "abuse" you claim there is a big red button (bottom left) to report posts to the Mods, you can even ask for the thread to be locked so it slides into oblivion.

But gotta bear in my mind that FREE also has a cost.........fair enuf if you don't want to pay it, but can't be surprised or complain that there is one. It's life not the internet.

Re: It never hurts to ask..

Besides, should you end with a boat - you will need to make some critical decisions. What kind/color/size and how many buckets do I need?

You are advised to join the International Bucketeers Squadron here on this forum.

Ya can't sail without a good bucket!

I got asked to ask (you know who you are), but it seems a good suggestion at the moment.

Buckets are no joke

Most of what goes on here is just good-natured kidding. But I admit sometimes it helps to be a bit thick skinned

craigs list has free boats.
walk docks in those cute lil marinas on the delta and there might ne a good boat,if you have not yet found one.\
barter is always good.
good luck in your search..
do make sure you have a good anchor and chain so you can save some dough on slip fees and can change your setting occasionally if the boat is up to it--and make sure itis already in the water so you know if it is sinking under you or not...sinking is not good...

It sure worked out for you didn't it?

BTW didn't you get a free houseboat or 2 on your recent "Give Me for Free" thread. Shouldn't you be sharing, or are you too high on the social ladder now that you have "stuff"?

Re: It never hurts to ask..

Do you suppose our OP got so disgusted she just walked away?

And we were just getting warmed up. We even invited her to join that most exclusive of boating social circles "The International Bucketeers Squadron".

I mean - how nice can we be?

Well, she was reading a lot of rude posts where we were reading friendly and inviting posts so she might not be cut from the same wood as we are. Or, she is out selecting her boat and will amaze all of us
