Re: It never hurts to ask..

Totally agree that it is worth a shot. Good luck if it works also, but if you are going to be cheeky, which it is, but acceptable, then surely you have to be able to endure a bit of cheek back Nobody was being an "*******' as far as I could see. A couple of insider jokes perhaps, but no reason for knicker knotting, Ah well, that's forum life somedays.

Re: It never hurts to ask..

It takes a while of reading to be able to follow things around here. Not only are you "boat" people, you're from all over creation, and some of you seem to have known each other for years. Feels a bit like crashing a family reunion to post the first time.

Don't let the banter get to you. I wish you luck in your search. I wanted to suggest you watch for 2 boat owners. They often want the extra boat gone ASAP. I did that last year and it went for a fraction of it's value because I didn't want to store it. eBay is another place things go cheap but be sure to read the fine print before bidding.

Good luck!

Re: It never hurts to ask..

As long as you don't show any fear and throw in the occasional compliment about the size of their mast, you'll do fine

Of-course you're gonna have to decide on which type of anchor to get for the new free boat

(I always wanted to purchase a Hunter and name it Gatherer. Probably a good thing I didn't, since I'm sure hunter gatherers freak vegans out as well.)

(I think the OP might more properly be termed "pescadarian.")

(Speaking of freaking out: Years ago I invited someone to dinner and was told, "By the way, I'm a vegan." Having never heard of a vegan back then, I asked for an explanation. The answer was, "I don't ever eat anything that has a face." Seriously. So the afternoon before our dinner I went diving for scallops. My vegan friend didn't partake of this sumptuous feast, of course, so I told her to go make herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.)

(Scallops don't have faces.)

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
