OpenCPN - sync live with tablet?

Apologies if this has been posted before:

Use Case: Large Pilothouse motor yacht:
1. Pilothouse has navigation computer/RPi/Signal K etc
2. Trip planning is done in pilothouse on OpenCPN Windows with dual monitors, keyboard mouse
3. Android Tablet has OpenCPN for flybridge

Can the Android tablet "live connect/sync" with the nav computer?

No not really. But for OpenCPN version > 5.8: If several OCPN are connected to a local network, e.g. a wifi router, you can use "Send to peer" for a route/track/WP and transfer it between OpenCPN instances.

I think a Android OCPN version update will soon be available where "Send to peer" will be included as well.

If you are using the RPi then you can install OpenPlotter (which includes openCPN). It includes the ability to make the RPi a WiFi server and you can connect to it with VNC app from the android and see and control the RPi from the fly bridge.

We use an iPad at the helm to view and control a RPi at the Nav station below.

All of the above software is free. Right in my price range.
