O-Charts not loading

Hi, I've just set up OpenCPN 5.6.2 on my Samsung TAB 3 Lite and the o-charts plug-in. All seems well and good. The o-charts tab shows up under Charts.
However, when I try to Refresh Chart List I get an error

o-charts_pi Message
internet communications error code:{0}
Check your connections and try again.

I have checked access to the internet from the device and all is fine.
Any suggestions?
I've removed and reloaded the plug-in and also reinstalled openCPN to no avail.

We have seen another case with that issue. Investigating.


In the meantime you can use the manual "offline" install. Have a look at the o-charts manual in case.

Hi, I can't use the offline install because there is no option to "Create System Identifier File" in the plug-in preferences. Any other way of doing a manual install? Thanks for the speedy response by the way.

Same problem on a samsung galaxy note-pro we have o-chart 1.0.41.0 and OpenCPN Android 4.1.1028. I was able to download maps from o-chart last year

Hi, it's version 1.0.41.0
Under preferences it shows:
Version 1.0.41.0
Show EULA 'button'
System Name: <shows my system name>
Reset o-charts credentials 'button

Isn't that OpenCPN Android version out-of-date?
Mine is now up to 5.6.2 [99]

I also have OpenCPN 5.6.2. The o-charts plug-in is 1.0.41.0.

Yes it is the latest Dave Register version for android that I am using.

Hi, I have solved the problem by buying a new Samsung Tab A7 Lite, and installing everything on that. Works great. Gave up trying the get the Tab 3 to load o-charts.
