The 4.1.705 Beta Test release of OpenCPN for Android is available for download now.

Changelog:
26. Correct loss of screen viewport on Show Tides.
27. Correct BasicSettings persistence of ShowDepthUnits value.
29. Improve BasicSettings scale slider behaviour.
30. Correct fault on startup with some Android 4.1.2 devices.
31. Implement Scaled chart objects with Settings Slider.(FS#1761)
32. Improve Waypoint Properties dialog layout.


Release Notes:

This is a quick fix Release for numerous small bugs found in the previous 4.1.630 Release, especially those related to startup problems and other identified crashes.


IMPORTANT INSTALL NOTE:
If you have installed or moved a previous version of OCPN-Android onto the SDCARD, you should find and backup any "navobj.xml" file which you want to retain. This will probably be found in "/mnt/sdcard/data/Android/opencpn". All existing navobj.xml files will be deleted on a fresh install. You may then restore the saved file after OCPN is installed, or import it as a GPX.

Note that this procedure applies only when OCPN is resident on SDCARD storage, whether emulated internally, or physically present as a removable card. Standard internal installs will keep their previous navobj files intact at "/mnt/sdcard".

We are still studying the whole storage question. Android follows some strict rules with respect to app data isolation. These rules seem draconian to desktop PC users. But we need to protect user data on upgrades....

31. Note new Feature here, Chart Object scaling. Applies to Marks, ATONs, and ENC depth settings.
