TSS Gibraltar as example. Is the same or very similar at the Channel.
Both oeSENC and S-63

without zoom only the inner dashed arrows. One has to get into overzoom to see the main arrows.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

Håkan,

Thank you. With your temporary fix for ja_JP.po, Beta 4.5.201 builds for me.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

Hakan/Paul...

I pushed a fix for the Japanese .po file to github master.
It should build OK from master now.

Same problem occurred in the Beta PPA linux builds. They all failed. I will restart those builds later today.

Anyone need a 4.5.201 Linux .deb installer right now? Or can it wait a few hours?

Thanks
Dave

To change between old and new scalebar you must edit opencon.conf(.ini on win).

Code:
.........
[Settings]
UseSimplifiedScalebar=1
...
With the above setting the new, simplified scalebar is used.
To use the traditional scalebar, set the value to "0", or delete the line altogether.

Mac users doesn't like the way Linux users needs to fiddle their settings...

But when updating the options settings the checkbox for fogging the chartview should be deleted also. It is nonsense.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

Thanks everybody working on this.

Trying to help with translations I came to this untranslatable part in options. See attached picture.

Also where I expect to see magnectic variation at my place I see 0.0.

Both are probably an oversight. (options.cpp line 4055)

Thanks
Jean-Marie

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

I have had a few crashes, and after a few attempts, managed to catch one...

Scenario...looking at the Chesapeake Bay Entrance using vector charts(chart group), then switching to raster charts (chart group) for the same area. The crash came about 5 s after the change.

I confirm and I add that there is a third item not translated:
"Show magnetic bearings and headings" ----> This item is in crowdin.

Here below, these two items are not in core file language on crowdin ..

"WMM plugin calculated"
"To set the magnetic variation manually, you must disable the WMM plugin"

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

Hello Dave,

This item is present in Crowdin, but not translate on "Options/Display/Advanced" :
"
With a lower value, the same zoom level shows a less detailed chart.\n With a higher value, the same zoom level shows a more detailed chart.
"

See the screen shot send by HouleJm, #21 More exactly, see the litle WMM window. Items are in English.

But, for me, no problem. They are in french. So for me, WMM run Ok.

There are still places where OpenCPN under Ubuntu loses focus. Are you aware of them or do you need me to make a list?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

hello Dave,

I try grib plugin with O4.5.

Not shure, because my screen is not a little screen, but I think that the window is too high. It's impossible to change this with the mouse.

The same disaster for cm93.
Is it really needed to check each detail of a chart within a new beta version?
What are the developers doing? Destroying things which had worked before?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.201

Gerhard,

I wouldn' call the rendering in CM93 satisfying (especialy for small scales).

This had been improved in some earlier version of 4.5 and now we have a regression. **** happens...

Hubert

Hubert,

indeed your screenshot is not acceptable. This area is shown in my version like this attachment.

But after all it is not the first time OpenCPN versions are going more and more worse. Beta testers are unable to check any function and so stable versions are released with more defaults than ever. That is a fact since the last two years. I'm very happy to be able to compile my own version. If not OpenCPN will not be useful.
