There was a problem with OpenGL in the RaspiOS 64 Debian Bullseye.

But after installing the next file. OpenCPN 5.6.0 screen movements run very fast with the OpenGL setting to on.

Just to confirm the glitch:
the color picked will not be applied to the font.

Hmmm, no 5.6.0 category open on Flyspray. So I guess I will just leave it here for now and hope it gets noticed.

AIS Target size?

The option to show AIS targets as real size does not seem to work.

What should be happening?

It works for me on Win and RPi.
And what I can see on your shot it's also working for you. Although black on gray/dark background so it may be screen dependent.?

I have two issues with OpenCPN 5.6.0 running on my MacBook Pro:
1. Serial Port cannot be setup under Options/Connections/Add Connection/Serial/Data Port. The roll-down bar on the Data Port is blank. App crashes when I try to exit Options following this.
2. "OpenCPN.app would like to record this computer's screen" window keeps popping up when I start OpenCPN 5.6.0. This annoying window cannot be turned off in Mac System Preferences.

I have logged Flyspray Report Nos FS#2809 and FS#2810 for the above issues.

So there is something wrong with the setup of the data connection from scratch under OpenCPN 5.6.0.

In the past (5.2.4 on Win 10) I had both USB puck and TCP/Wifi running fine together, priority 1, no odometer.


Now, Linux Mint OpenCPN 5.6.0:


- ttyUSB0 enabled, puck in - odometer flickers. Puck out, odometer dead. It worked for a while with release candidate 1112? or thereabouts - see trip history in pic.

bcn also confirms but I don't know what to expect. As it is, all of my AIS targets are the same size.

Here are three for example.

Can we see a screen shot of yours showing real size of the targets?

Terry,

The black, vaguely ship-shaped polygon around each of your AIS icons is the “real size” representation. Ship static data includes the position of the AIS port/starboard of centerline and fore/aft. That is where the green standard icon is shown, the dimensions of the ship as received in the static data are then used to draw an outline around the regular icon that is the approximate size of the ship. That outline is the black “rectangle” with an angled end for the bow that is around each of the icons.
