Grib file "Overlays too wide"

Hi,

I'm using OpenCPN 5.6 on my Raspbery PI.

The GRIB 4.1 plugin installed succesfully, but it only shows the wind vectors.
When I try to plot the rainfall field, or any other layer with a raster-colour representation I get the error:
"Overlays too wide and can't be displayed".

I've tried with many grib files, area width, data source.. and also with my Windows 11 laptop, but I always get the same error.

Any help?

Thanks

What version what os there are many rpi setups. Be specific please. Show us screenshots. Describe step by step what you are doing. This might be a bug, but your configuration might not be supported.

Re: Grib file "Overlays too wide"

Hi rgleason, thanks for your reply.

Here are the details:

- Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 2018
- Installation package OpenPlotter 3 (2022-07-18-OpenPlotter-v3-Starting-stable-64bit-img.zip)
- SD burned with Raspberry Pi Imager
- Installed OpenPlotter 3 (it contains OpenCPN 5.6.2)
- Download the grib file of a small area using xygrib
- Grib file opened with GRIB 4.1 plugin for OpenCPN

In attach you find the wind map obtained with the OpenCPN Grib plugin (only the wind vectors are visible) and with XyGrib (which is ok).
The same problem occurs headless or with a small 7'' display attached to the hdmi port.

Thank you

You can switch it on inside OpenCPN in the "Settings" tab.
