Vaccinations

We are leaving from the Pacific Northwest in a month and sailing to Baja Mexico and on to the mainland. Our doctors are pro vacinnes, typhoid, hep A and B.
Six months ago reading on the WHO and CDC websites these were not listed.
What say you do you have any experience with this topic. We are not going to the South Pacific. Thanks

Re: Vaccinations

How much money do you have?

Doctors have become charlatans who just want to flatten your wallet.

I have Yellow Faber which is required in many weird countries. Apart from that none.

But if you listen to doctors you could be down the tube by over $1000!

Re: Vaccinations

They certainly are recommended by the CDC and WHO.

These are diseases that you can get from contaminated food and water - things that you may have little control over while traveling.

The vaccines will not cost you $1000. Most insurance will cover them. If you actually have no money at all, you can walk into King County (or Multnomah County) Public Health and get them for free.

Re: Vaccinations

Look up Typhoid, it is not a disease you want.
My Father died from Hepatitis, it damages the liver and leads to Cancer.
I think he went decades with Hepatitis undiagnosed.

The diseases that you can get vaccinations for are almost always really bad things that you do not want.

Being Military and the job I had I ended up I being vaccinated for any part of the world, even had bubonic plague, yellow fever, the full Anthrax series etc. They boost the immunological system of course.
