Re: PT INR Blood Testing In Bahamas

I know that getting the VA to cover much, in terms of health care not done at their facilities, is tough at best. Even for service connected disibilites, & incidents where it's plain to anyone, that getting to a VA to have such addressed at the time, was out of the question. And that's when one's here in the US.

So were it me, I'd realistically plan on footing the bill for most of my health care when not in the US. And to look at policies which cover catastrophic medical care, possibly to include Life Flight, back to the US (or a setting with better medical facilities).

Though it'd be interesting to see what you find out, & what you come up with in terms of a game plan(s). If you'd be so kind.

Re: PT INR Blood Testing In Bahamas

Hi, Paul,

Countries mostly require prescriptions from their own nationals. Some may have "compounding pharmacies" who are allowed to fill Rx's for "ships medicine chests", but they are few and far between. Good luck with your search.
