La Vagabonde's crossing

Discussion of weather, routing, seamanship of La Vag's crossing - no politics or climate discussion pls.

I updated my routing, using latest position and scaling the polars to their performance to date. The polars are probably still inaccurate because they have not had much reaching/running yet, but they will get better as we see more sailing data.

says they should tack in about 8 hrs.
the slower polar is pushing them a bit further north mid-route for best speed.
