Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Please, do not wait that I open a topic as I have no knowledge how the github-site functions ))

Regarding to my last question about the "Measure"-function, now I it works, I must have forgotten to reload as I tested it last night.
Also tested on "editroutepage"-page the buttons "NavAddAfter" and "NavDelete" and they responded as defined to the keys I defined.

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Hi,

Have anybody else noticed the high CPU usage when starting AVnav on RPi 4B Pican-M Openplotter with out any sensors input?
One CPU is 100%. It seems to drop down to 1-5% first when AVnav gets som SignalK data.
I'm running it back home and have no NMEA 2000 connection when at home, but when I start SKsim in SignalK the CPU usage drops.

Best Regards Henrik

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Would be interesting to see which process is consuming the CPU...
If you are using ocharts with AvNav the AvnavOchartsprovider will consume one CPU while initially pre-rendering (i.e. filling it's caches).
But you have 4 of them.
Anyway this does not depend on the data....

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Sorry, I was unclear. It is only one of the four that runs 100% and it does for days. It doesn’t go down until I start sksim in signalk so avnav gets some input.

I have ocharts. I’ll try to turn off ocharts in avnav and do the same test.

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Nope, I disabled the Ocharts I have in the settings of AVnav and let it run during night.

Still 25% total cpu load (one is constantly 100%) until I start SKsim in SignalK. Then it drops significally as shown in attatchment image.

Ok, so still it would be interesting to see which process is consuming the CPU.
If it would be AvNav it would be helpfull to get the config and the current log.

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Hello again,

I had a problem with the Ocharts/Finnish-set about a year ago.
That was solved and the charts/AbNav was ok,

Now my Ochart subscription is about to expire and I downloaded updated packages for my Ocharts (Poland, Estonia and Finland).

And a problem aroused immediately with the Finnish charts (again).

See the attached files, I have no idea if this is a problem in AvNAv or in the ocharts...??
Hope the attatchments will help to solve this problem!

wbr,
eko

The dongle is correct ( I only have one), besides Poland/Estonia-charts are ok.

The log files are attached.

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

Maybe it's simply about really big charts giving render timeouts when opening them.
Could you try installing the latest daily from https://wellenvogel.de/software/avnav/downloads/daily-ochartsplugin/20220904/?
Afterwards restart AvNav.
With this daily there is a setting within the plugin settings (AvNav server/status page) that allows to increase the render timeout.
Maybe you could try to increase this and check if it already solves the problem.

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

1. Downloaded and installed...raspbian-bullseye_arm64.deb
2. Changed the render timeout 8000ms ->15000ms
3. Rebooted the RPi

Result: no changes, still the hole in the chart and "open errors".

Logs attached.

Re: AvNav - navigation in the browser

I cannot seem to be able to upload anything. There is no upload icon on the toolbar in the Files/Download page.

So there is no way to upload a route that I can find!

Is this a setting somewhere to enable this functionality?

Also our usage is to have the server below with all the other navionics and connect simply via a browser.

However, it seems that each connection has it's own routes etc. So If we have configured a route form the chart table on the master nav station PC. We don't see that route when we connect via a browser from another tablet.

We expected to see exactly the router that is active in the master browser.

How can we implement this setup.

So the cockpit display via browser is showing the navigation route from the nav station below?

Cheers
