Re: New Anchor - Manson Boss
It looks like Defender might have them already:
Manson Boss Anchor
...and at better price than West Marine.

I think that it's because many power boats have bowsprits or other ways that the hoop doesn't work. Sort of weird, though.

Re: New Anchor - Manson Boss
Defender shows them in stock. For the 60lb, shipping is a bit expensive (88 + 55 for some handling fee). WM's price is 921 delivered to their store, so in this case I would rather price match and pick it up. But WM does not show them as available yet.

Yes, they are in stock at Defender; was just notified that the one I had on backorder has just shipped.

Owen, I would appreciate if you could keep us informed of how your new Boss performs in real life. I am in the process of a purchase and want to change the anchors but a supreme will not fit because of the roll bar but a Boss will. Thanks

Re: New Anchor - Manson Boss
Glad to, but you'll have to be patient, since I don't launch till June 15. But after that we'll be cruising all summer and so should be amassing a good data set.

Re: New Anchor - Manson Boss
Thanks, my purchase should go through in June but due to business commitments and work load I will not be moving the yacht out of the USA until November after the hurricane season so there is no rush. This purchase can be one of the last before departure.
