Well actually the boats only a month old and I've yet to use the Chinese Rocna as I haven't needed to back up the 40kg primary yet and hope not to need to for a while. Anyway I plan to use the Rocna when I get to a massively reversing tidal achorage. I figure that rather than pulling out and resetting every 6 hours hopefully the shank can just bend around and then come back. I'm not sure how it will go if a full 360 is required. I'll send photos.

Re: Anchor Poll

Rocna 55 (121 ib)

I did a survey last year when my boat was hauled out.

It was done at Leros marina. My impression was most of the boats were privately owned rather than charter boats. There were a few long distance cruising boats most would cruse the summer only.
I counted all the anchors I saw which was about 80% on the hard and a few stored on the water. I did not count stern anchors.

Delta 36
CQR 11
Bugel copy 11
Rocna 9
Spade 8
Brittany 8
Plough 7
Kobra 6
Bruce 4
Claw 3
Max 3
Danforth 2
Bulgari 1
Dreadnought 1

Note those with more expensive anchors may have kept them from view.

Re: Anchor Poll

Why danforth and fortress as separate choices? It's like choosing between tissue and kleenex.

No. you need to investigate further.

There is no box for SARCA which would require 2 for the Super SARCA and the Excel.

Similarly Manson with their Supreme and now Boss.

A 55lb. anchor for a 12,000lb. boat? I should hope so it holds.
