Dinghy hoisting “outrigger”

I want to have the same set up as the picture

What is the name of the “bar”/outrigging ? I don’t know how to even start a search
It looks like a Bimini frame tubing but I doubt it would strong enough.

Thx

Mads almost certainly hand made that one. Did look at it, but can't afford the weight on the stern for a 31ft yacht so will stick with using the foredeck.

I installed a Dinghy Butler system like this on a CSY 33.

It is very sturdy and strong. Lifts a Portland Pudgy with ease.

I watched a lot of sail life back during covid. Mads has a couple videos in Denmark showing how he made his solar arch and integrated davits. It'll take a little digging through the archives, but he has a lot of good stuff in there.

I looked but the outrigger seems to have been added later

That's quite interesting and a possible DIY

Re: Dinghy hoisting “outrigger”

Dinghy hoist arm. We have been using it (must stronger version) since 2003.

The best implementation is on some Chris White catamarans, where the arm comes up, over the top then down on the inboard side to put the dinghy right into chocks mounted aft of the bridge deck.

Re: Dinghy hoisting “outrigger”

thanks all, but I wasn't asking for other options, but to make the one I have in mind work.
And I say that w/o any sarcasm. I jut want to refocus the thread.
