I'm not going to suggest you make one yourself. But I am curious why you don't want to hear the suggestions or why you're not interested in tackling it yourself.

Have you looked at how easily 12 strand hollow-core braid is to splice? It is by far the easiest to splice. 12 strand hollow-core was the first loop I learned to splice.

Fisheries Supply has dyneema in stock through 16mm and has a rigging department that would (I imagine) be happy to make you a loop. They typically run about a four-week turn around time. I use them all the time for eye splices in double braid, which are hard to get right without a great deal of practice.

The problem you're going to run into is that a loop sized to give you 4-12" off deck (therefore with 8-24" circumference) does not have enough length to allow for the recommended 72x bury in 8mm or 10mm. You would be better off using loop in 6mm that is wrapped three times, for example.

Pls do NOT suggest I make it myself. Also, I have considered a soft shackle, which I can get in the right diameter, but it would be a bit too short and I don't want to risk it opening when I release tension on the backstay.

Even if you use a rigger I am going to suggest that you at least learn to make it yourself because basic, simple splices like these are skills everyone should have. You might also want to learn to make a soft shackle. Those can be made to any length. Correctly made soft shackles do not release except when they are supposed to.

Learning to make the splices yourself would also give you insight into the capabilities and limitations of dyneema and of the specific splices you're considering.

I will second Fisheries Supply. I buy Dyneema from them to make soft shackles.

What Jammer said about making your own soft shackles. There is an excellent PDF, actually two, to cover all of the steps, with images, on how to make your own soft shackles on CF. It is not hard, though the smaller diameter rope is more of a challenge than larger diameter dyneema.

PDFs are in this conversation, https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...le-155591.html

Look for dyneema loops from a place that sells climbing gear such as REI or on Amazon search climbing sling.

Climbing slings will usually top out at around 5,000lbs break load (+-24KN)--climbers simply don't need more than that. And most of those loops are sewn webbing with no UV protection.

You can make a dynema loop yourself, it’s rather easy. I make soft shackles all the time now.

Or you can have one made and sent to you by West Marine in Ft. Lauderdale. They have a good rigger who made a dynema loop I use to extend my anchor bridle.

They’ll have it ready in a few days and can ship it.

Any rigging shop can make one ~ not a big expense.

Soft shackles are easy to make and loops are even easier. There are plenty of You Tube videos on making both. Dyneema is easy enough to find at marine and rigging shops.

I use soft shackles to attach my bridle to anchor chain because IT DOES NOT COME OFF WHEN UNLOADED and is easy to take off when I want it off

Thanks for the shoutout! I am still making stuff. I've been making loops, tow ropes/mooring lines, soft shackles, and more, with Samsons Amsteel Blue from 1/16" up to 1/2", and have made a few 3/4" shackles. Find all sales here: https://www.instagram.com/chanmadegear/

I've had a yatch club Commodore return back for another 1/2" mooring line and loops so that makes me feel real good about my work.

Regarding soft shackles - they won't open unless you pull the "noose" back to open it and pull the button knot out.

I took a look at the soundriggging loops. Is it just me or does that length of the tail buried look real short?

All my loops have a 360 degree bury, regardless of loop size. If the loop is small and cannot bury 3 fids length, I let the buyer know and let them decide.

Re: Help me find dyneema loop in US pls

If for your reasons you don’t want to make what you need yourself I have another suggestion. Perhaps when you are in an anchorage somewhere you could go out in your dinghy and ask others if they can make one for you. In addition to seeing how it is done you might also meet some really nice people.
Note about some of the other comments: we all have our own limitations. Limited dexterity, close vision etc can limit what we are willing to do.

Off road drivers frequently use dyneema loops when they get stuck in the mud and have to winch themselves out, generally called recovery lines or shackles

Here are a couple I saw

Re: Help me find dyneema loop in US pls

There is a heavy saturation of UHMWPE soft shackles on Amazon. There are repuabtle offroad brands out there like Bubbaropes and Yankum that are made in the USA, but there are more unknown makers and materials than known. They will work but the material is not Dyneema with specified SK75, SK78, SK99, etc, or Plasma, but generic UHMWPE, and most likely not spliced by someone in USA.

Its how everything is now though. On Amazon you have everyone drop shipping similar products from aliexpress at a lower cost. Not saying it's bad, I buy from aliexpress, but only certain things.

Google soft shackle break test and you'll find a YouTube slack liner HowNOT2, making videos about soft shackles. There is one about differernt brands and break testing.
