Re: Tropical weather starting to arrive

Florida needs a very long long wet season. Water table levels are extremely low and it would not hurt to have an above average rainfall season. Hurricanes of course are not welcome, however if the outer bands kind of brush by most of Florida and dump their water it would be much appreciated.

I'm heading back to Western Canada this weekend, so I hope to see that everything is great when I get back in the late fall.

Plus, it gives a good flush to all the inadequate sewer systems in the state.

It has been upgraded to 60% likely to turn into a tropical depression. Watch out northern Florida!

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
200 PM EDT WED JUN 5 2013

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

1. A BROAD AND ELONGATED AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL GULF OF
MEXICO CONTINUES TO PRODUCE A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS AND WINDS
TO NEAR GALE FORCE OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO. SATELLITE
AND SURFACE DATA SUGGEST THAT THE CIRCULATION REMAINS POORLY
DEFINED...HOWEVER AN AIR FORCE RESERVE RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT IS
SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE THE DISTURBANCE THIS AFTERNOON. ALTHOUGH
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE NOT CONDUCIVE FOR SIGNIFICANT
DEVELOPMENT...THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR THIS SYSTEM TO BECOME A
TROPICAL DEPRESSION OR STORM BEFORE IT MOVES ACROSS NORTHERN
FLORIDA LATE THURSDAY OR THURSDAY NIGHT. THIS SYSTEM HAS A HIGH
CHANCE...60 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

Re: Tropical weather starting to arrive

Looks like it will be crossing Florida and coming right up along the southeast coastline to Cape Hatteras. Hope there isn't anybody out there not paying attention headed north in the Gulf Stream from the Bahamas or Florida.

Take care & be safe!

We are hoping for no drama on our run from Puerto Rico to Grenada next month.

I think they could care less what the insurance companies do. They make their money from headlines. Names mean headlines.

Our plan is to avoid the "drama" and getting to Grenada sooner than later should greatly enhance the plan.

Re: Tropical weather starting to arrive

We had the first rumblings of the low last week in Key West. I went up to Sarasota. Guess who followed me? Andrea! We are getting feeder bands right now.
